As always, I take great pleasure in releasing part 16 titled "BERAKHOT (VI)" of my series "PRAYING WITH UNDERSTANDING".

In this part, I have taken up Blessings on Food before its partaking.

You will find answers to;

Why do I bless G-d for food?

Which food get which blessing.

Which blessing do I say first?

In case of multiple choice of same blessing, on which food do I say the blessing.

If I have different types of food and drinks, then what is the order of blessings.

What if I realize in the course of my meal that I forgot to bless then what do I do?

For those of you who are not accustomed to saying a blessing while enjoying a food, I hope that this part will inspire you say a Blessing and thank G-d for the food we eat and enjoy, without any feeling of embarrassment.
